Anna' is my name in Nepalese and 'Didi' means sister in Nepali, and is a commonly used female nickname for 'sister'. 'Anna Didi' reminds us that we are all brothers and sisters of this world.
I founded Anna Didi in 2013 after having enjoyed a long career in global marketing promoting consumer brands like Coca-Cola og Carlsberg.
In 2012 I quit my corporate career and moved to Kathmandu, Nepal, where I was drawn to the exquisite qualities of the cashmere wool originating from the goats of the Himalayan mountain range.
In Nepal cashmere garments are produced in small quantities by hand or by hand-operated machines.
The Nepali take great pride in their work, and although the techniques are less advanced the results are phenomenal.
